Sixteen VTR team members exhibited and demonstrated our premier VR airline pilot training solution, FlightDeckToGoTM, at the 23rd annual World Aviation Training Summit (WATS 2023) May 2-4, 2023, in Orlando, Florida.
Joining us at the exhibit booth was one of our industry partners, Tobii. Tobii’s revolutionary eye tracking software is integrated into FlightDecktoGo TM, providing users with precise eye tracking data to ensure proper pilot procedure execution.
The conference featured a diverse range of speakers, including airline training executives, senior pilots and captains, aviation safety experts, simulator manufacturers, and training services providers.
WATS is the largest annual conference and trade show for aviation training professionals globally. It is organized and hosted by the Civil Aviation Training Solutions division of Halldale Group, a leading provider of aviation training publications and services. The WATS conference brings together aviation training organizations, equipment suppliers, regional airlines, regulators, and industry experts to discuss and showcase the latest trends, advancements, and challenges in aviation training.
Over three days, delegates attended keynotes, seminars, panel discussions, and vendor exhibitions. The panels and seminars covered a wide range of topics, including emerging technologies in flight training, pilot supply and demand trends to include forecasting, pilot training regulations, and innovations in simulator design and delivery.
“WATS 2023 brought numerous facets of the aviation ecosystem together with a keen mission to find answers to the training challenges stemming from rapid growth. Numerous ATOs and airlines shared their training concerns with our team. Being in a position to provide them with a solution was very rewarding,” said Evey Cormican, CEO of VTR. “It was also a pleasure working with Halldale and CAT during our fourth consecutive WATS conference.”
- The VTR team spoke with over 500 training industry representatives and conducted over 260 headset demonstrations. VTR enthusiasts spent over 63 hours in the headsets for those demos.
Although WATS 2023 is in our rearview, we are already gearing up for the 2023 European Aviation Training Summit this fall.
See you there!
